I can hardly wait to play this game. I check for community copies every single day!

so I preordered the boxed version of this off of Zatu Games in the UK. The day it was going to be released appears to have been pushed back.

I just wanna make sure I didn't get scammed lol- are you actually doing preorders for boxed versions of the game?

Dang it! Unemployed since February and really wanted a copy.  No luck for now.

I saw the box set at my LGS and bought it on a whim. I'm so glad I did. I love my witch and this game. Thank you so much for putting all this together. <3

Ahh thanks for leaving a comment, so nice to hear :)

Hope the community copies get some extra additions as a Christmas gift lol

The game looks super coool

Physical edition USA restock?

likely not until late 2026.

Thank you

Hello,

I have bought the physical game twice, once as the box edition as pre order, but I can't find the PDFs anywhere, if I give proof of purchase could I gain access to the PDF? Really want to play this but I have my old copy to a friend and still waiting for the pre-order

Thank you.

Absolutely, drop me an email (jack at mousehole dot press) and I’ll sort it out :)

Hi, I got the physical copy from your crowdfunding campaign, but I can't find any way to get the virtual content that I am pretty sure was supposed to come with it. Could you please help me out with that?

If you head here: https://koriko.backerkit.com/ you can access your Survey which has all of your digital downloads on it :)

Thank you so much!!! I had checked backerkit but didnt think of looking into the survey! I found everything, I am super happy to be able to carry it in my tablet now...it's such a great game I love being able to work on it on the road

Hello. When will hard copies become available for purchase? Thanks

Likely not till late 2026!

Does someone know how many pages to print? I don't have access to a printer, so I'll have it printed at a printer shop, I just need to check if the price will be reasonable 😅

the book is 120ish pages. Im not sure which pages you’d want to print though

Thank you! That's exactly the info I was looking for! 🤗 I don't really like to play/read digitally,  so I intend to print the whole book 😅

Hi, I been enjoying the start but I just wanted to clarify some things? Do I write down a skill (lesson) learnt whenever I journal solving a card? so by the end i may have up to 35 skill points?

Edit: Nvm, got it stack at prompts and after risky endeavors and also gosh stacking 21 dice is way harder than it sounds

I am having trouble using the digital tabletop. How am I supposed to draw cards? I've left and right clicked, pushed many keys and the decks appear to be static images that I can't interact with

Have you ‘joined the game’? You won’t be able to interact with the board until you have :)

I started a whole new session from the launch screen and that did the trick! Been REALLY enjoying it, and I'm definitely going to pick up a physical copy next time it's in stock!

Incredible! So much fun! Simple enough for new people in TTRPG and has unique prompts to make it interesting!

Hi, will Koriko be available at the ESSEN SPIEL? That would be awesome!

Hey! I’m all out of stock currently, but would love to attend Essen in a future year :)

Thanks, J

As someone on a fixed income, I want to thank you and others for the community copy availability. Thank you for granting me hours of entertainment in this depressing world.

I appreciate the community copies opinion so very much. It's hard to describe, but the kindness of just having the available is so sweet. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to play this! 💚

I just wanted to say thank you to Jack and fellow gamers for making the community copies available. I recently lost my job and the kindness of others is deeply appreciated.

The physical store is showing ‘sold out’. Will there ever be a restock?

I’m sure it will be back in stock eventually, we have stock in the US still. Just expensive to move it around!

Excellent game! This was my first time playing a solo RPG. I really enjoyed it!

Hi.  Do we have an ETA on when the digital stickers and printable sheets will be released?

Got a community copy about a year ago, and I've finally had the means to get a physical version! The paper wrapping on the box was almost too pretty to tear off :') That said, everything is of excellent quality. The die are cute and the book itself is sturdy.

This singlehandedly got me into solo TTRPGS, and this remains as one of my favorites of all time. Thank you for making it. Now I'm off to find a suitable journal for my second full venture into a witch's journey!

If tarot literacy is a challenge this tarot deck has a virtual deck for free + has all the meanings on the deck itself!

Dear Jack,

I got myself a community copy and have been playing this wonderful game. I recently came across a review/solo playthrough (part 1 and part 2), by Aaron Marks on Cannibal Halfling Gaming, which has praised this game better than I could put into words. This is a top notch game and I will be purchasing a physical copy when I can!

To try and put it in my own words, this game has just the right amount structure, chance, and creativity left to the writer to be enjoyable for many people new and seasoned in the world of solo RPGs. Some journaling games I've played before left too much up to me where I felt I was writing a book from scratch, but this game had enough structure that it didn't feel this way - at all. Plus, if you did want to write more freely, you can! You can write as much as you want with the prompts given and even ignore or skip prompts as needed for your story.

I love the use of the tarot cards and dice sticking. I'm not familiar with the meaning of the tarot cards so it is defiantly not required. Although with more of an understanding of the tarot meanings, I can see how that could enrich the mood/feeling of the cards and prompts. I'm glad there is a digital set up for the cards as I don't own my own deck. Luckily I own a game of Tenzi so I had the dice on-hand.

I decided to hand write my own game in a spare notebook I had which gives me more opportunities to use my fountain pens and inks. I've even incorporated my pens/inks into the story!

I thank you, Jack Harrison, for bringing this game into peoples hands and providing hours of great gaming!

Any chance of a digital, print and play file, of a tarot deck?

try this one! https://www.rudurudu.com/cardsthey have an online card pull plus my fave deck!

If you're ever considering another supplement, something my friend and I have been craving as we play through our years is a little help connecting the very slice-of-life minor arcana prompts with the bigger, deeper stories that grow naturally as the seasons turn. Short prompts to help us reflect on connecting the standard prompt with the deeper story in later seasons might help alleviate what can start to feel like heavy lifting around Autumn and Winter.

We're doing alright and love our stories, but that's where and why we've both found we slow down. The story feels very rich and full later in the year, but it's sometimes hard to find the connective thread between a very open prompt and the meaningful narrative which has sprung up along the way.

Wonderful game! Looking forward to more of your work <3

I didn't realize there is a n option to play together now.

What a lovely game you have here, Mouse Hole Press team.

I saw a question on Reddit and I thought I would share it here since I did not have an answer.

"Can I use a confidant's hangout prompt if it fits into my moment prompt?"

Hey! I think this would probably be fine. I did a fair bit of checking when I was designing the game to make sure all the options and prompt lists worked out, and there’s a lot of tolerance built in anyway to account for people skipping prompts they don’t like. In short—if you think it fits and would be fun, I think it’s a great idea!

I just wanted to say thank you for the community copies. I've been meaning to pick up a copy of Koriko for a couple months now, I just felt I didn't have enough time to devote to another story/game.

Well, now I have the time. Plenty of time. Too much time, but I need to preserve my funds to stretch out as long as possible, to hopefully hold me over until a get a new job.

So again, thank you for the community copies. A little joy and coziness goes a long way right now. When I get back on my feet I'll fund a community copy to pass it forward.

Koriko is available to be licensed for a portuguese edition?

Hi guys!! How do I get an community copy? Im from Brazil and in the moment I cant afford for that :(. When I try to get an copy it says I must give at least $18.00

Hey, scroll down a little from the ‘Buy Now’ button and you should find the ‘Community Copy’ section :)

I'm gonna go ahead and grab me a community copy, but the second I get my hands on some money I won't hesitate to donate! It just looks so relaxing, I bet I'll have a great time with it. Thanks again!

Snagged a community copy - thanks! This will be my first foray into solo/journal RPGing, and I'm super excited. Have a long history with tabletop gaming but not so much with roleplaying!

How do you play the major arcana cards if you don't want to add the character to your circle as a confidant?

To my understanding, you don't. Major Arcana serve as confidants only, but the book does state that "not every character you introduce to your story needs to be a confidant, and not every confidant has to have a memorable impact on your story", so you could put the confidant prompts of confidants you're not interested in as more background events lightly touched on, or simply ignore the card and redraw.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in providing community copies of your game. I’m a disabled pension who can’t afford much so these free gifts really help me out in playing games and keeping my mind active. I won’t be broke forever so plan on coming back when I’m able to help out.

I really appreciate your hard work and kindness in providing community copies.

This is one of the best solo games I have ever played hands down. All of the prompts are seamless, the questions moving you from scene to scene while still granting you the creative freedom to add your own flavor and vision to the world you create.

I hope to see more solo rpgs from you, I’ve become quite addicted!

(1 edit)

Hello there.

I am loving this so far. It's rare I spend hours on a solo rpg so thank you very much.

I'm a little confused by the dice stacking though. it says that you choose two out of the four skills when you do something risky then you stack one two or three dice depending on the amount of lessons you have under a skill. Does this mean that if you have less than three dice under two of the skills that you would stack six dice? Or is it just three dice for one of the skills? I've been doing the former.

Edit: Ignore me. I'm evidently blind. You're referring to the skills on the top right of the page spread. I do think though this is a bit confusing when the pdf is one page at a time with no spreads since it's on the second page of the spread

Hiya, I have a question about confidants and major arcana cards as I'm not sure if I'm playing correctly. I'm about to finish Arrival, but I haven't met any confidants yet/pulled any major arcana cards and thus have no circle. I'm struggling to understand how major arcana cards end up in the volume. Is it random? or did I miss an instruction to add them deliberately into the volume? Thanks for the help! I'm really enjoying playing the game :)

Edit: I've been reading through comments trying to understand and it seems I may have created my volume wrong at the start of Arrival but I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong. Does anyone have advice or insight on how to correctly create the volume after organizing the suit decks?

Heya, this might be too late(5 months too late haha), but when making your suit decks, did you add the second major arcana card to the top?
Since Arrival's setup states(if I remember correctly) to add 2 cards from each suit deck, you should be adding 1 Major and 1 Minor card from each, guaranteeing at least 3 confidants in Arrival. Hope this helps :)

Hi! Thank you for replying! I don't exactly remember how I added the cards, but I think I (wrongly) picked at random from the piles so even though there were several major arcana cards (including ones on the top) per pile I ended up not drawing any by chance. At the end of Arrival, I retconned to give myself a circle and then picked correctly for the rest of the game.

Absolutely gorgeous game! I'm currently in my first playthrough but I can already see the re-play-ability, how each play can be different depending on small choices you make, and more. The artwork is splendid and the prompts make me sit and really think about how I am going to move forward. I Love It!
My playthrough can be found here:
http://smalltowncreepy.com/2024/09/12/koriko-playthrough-pt-1-my-witch-maddie/

I just bought the physical at a game store and then found out there was a tarot deck, I was wondering if there is any way I can get my hands on a copy of the tarot deck that would have come in the boxes edition?
I really love the art in this and would love to have the deck itself

Hey! Lovely to hear you found the book in the wild :)

There’s no way to purchase the deck & dice separately at the moment, but when I do a reprint I’ll be offering a small number of upgrade kits for folks who want to add them to their book. Best bet is to subscribe to my newsletter :)
