The Artefact - Coming Soon to Kickstarter!

I’ve got some big news - The Artefact is going to be on Kickstarter next month!

I’m really proud of the game I made, but I’ve always wanted to add more playbooks, hire an editor and - most of all - pay for an artist to fill the book with original illustrations. That’s an expensive prospect, though, which is why I’m planning to crowdfund the fixed costs.

I’m running the campaign as part of their second annual Zine Quest , and it’ll be live from the 2nd to the 15th of February

The new edition of the game, which will be delivered sometime in June this year (if all goes well!), will be released as a free update to all existing owners of this game. Your support & patronage has meant so much to me over the past year, and I think it’s great that I can give you something awesome and new for free.

As I go over the current version of the game to identify where I want to spend the most time making changes, I’d really, really appreciate it if you could share any feedback you have about the game with me. Things you liked, things that were confusing or frustrating, cool stories and drawings - I’d love it all!

If you really enjoyed your time with The Artefact, could you please consider writing a quote for me that I could use on the campaign page? If I use your quote, I’ll send you a print copy of the new version of the game for free, anywhere in the world  😁.

If you want to get in touch, you can DM me on Twitter or drop me an email.

Thanks for reading!

Jack

I had an incredible time with the Artefact. I didn't know what to expect with it, and it made me think really hard about the people that came and went from my life, how they changed me, and the stories about these relationships that I keep in mind. It's an introspective experience that, ironically, makes you feel really human by turning you into a sentient object.

Thank you for writing it, and I hope the kickstarter goes well! Can't wait to try a different playbook next time around :D
