The Underditch

Dialect is a game about an isolated community, their language, and what it means for that language to be lost. At the start of a game of Dialect, you pick a backdrop which forms the world in which the Isolation exists

We've developed this supplement, The Underditch, as a custom backdrop for Dialect. In it, you'll explore the fate of a community of monsters that have been forced underground by human invaders. You'll decide, as a group, how your Isolation falls apart.

A preview of the backdrop description:

"We are Onikin; red-faced, playful little creatures that walk on two legs. For centuries we roamed the Great Forest, larking amongst the ancient pines.

When the tall-folk settled in the hills, though, everything changed. They saw us as demonic - a sign of corruption in the land. After months of relentless harassment by their warriors we fled, descending into the darkness, and collapsed the tunnels behind us..."

Playful monsters, strange flora, internal strife, giant bronze eggs - this backdrop has it all!
